Ordering


· How do I order?
Buying from us online is both easy and secure. When you place an order with a credit card, your credit card information is protected by our secure server hosted by YAHOO! Store. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For every item there is a product order button. This button adds the item to your shopping basket. Putting something in your shopping basket does not commit you to buying it. After you put something in your shopping basket, you can choose to place the order immediately, or continue shopping. You can put as many items as you want into your shopping basket. When you're finished and want to place the order, you can get back to your shopping basket by clicking the Show Order button. When you are finished shopping, you will then finalize the order and send it to us. Orders are processed as soon as we receive them. When you finish checkout you are committing to ordering the item(s).

 
How to Shop our Site


· How do I find the product(s) I'm looking for?
It’s quite easy. On each page there is a search box. Simply type the name or type of product you wish to find into the search box. All products are also categorized by type, style or room for easy browsing as well. Please feel free to browse around the site using the left hand navigation sidebar.

· How does the shopping cart work?
For every item there is a product order button. This button adds the item to your shopping basket. Putting something in your shopping basket does not commit you to buying it. Yes, many of the items in our old print catalogs may also be found online. Simply use our search function to find the item which interests you.

· I saw a product in your old catalog but don't see it on your Web site. Can I still order it?
Yes, if the item is still available, we would be happy to assist you with your purchase. Simply email us at info@log-furniture.com

· How do I know if a product I see on your site is in stock?
To help keep prices low many of our items are shipped directly from the manufacturer. Approximate shipping times may be found in each product description and/or in the general category description page. If in doubt please don’t hesitate to inquire


Shipping

· How soon after my order will it arrive?
Orders are shipped out as soon as possible. Occasionally some items may be back ordered and require extra time. You will be contacted if this is the case.

Current approximate times till shipment by category are below. Please note that transit times are in addition to the times listed below.

  • Garden Tools: 1-2 weeks
  • Garden Decor: 2-4 weeks
  • Water Fountains: 2-4 weeks
  • Most Furniture: 3-8 weeks (custom items require extra time)
All furniture is shipped directly from their respective manufacturer.

Delivery times and methods will vary from item to item. Please consult the item’s description page for current delivery information. Online order tracking is not currently available for all items.

 
Order Processing and Shipping Information


· When is my order processed?
Orders are processed usually within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Cancellations are subject to restocking fees.

· How will I know if you've received my order?
An electronic confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided when ordering. At your request, we can also send you a receipt in the US mail for your records.

· How do I check the status of my order or contact you if I have a question about my order?
If you have questions about an order, please feel free to E-mail: info@log-furniture.com (M-F). Please help us keep costs down for our customers and allow the full quoted delivery time before calling to inquire about the status of an order. UPS tracking numbers are not available until an item ships. Motor freight tracking numbers may not always be available on all items due to the number of different carriers each item may pass through. However, if you have not been contacted by a motor freight company within 10 days of shipment please do let us know E-mail: info@log-furniture.com. We will assist you in tracking you order.

· Can I change or cancel my order after it's been submitted?
Yes, you may change or cancel any non custom order provided that the item has not already entered production and/or has been scheduled to ship. Please contact us as soon as possible. Restocking and shipping fees will apply if an item has already shipped. Custom orders are always non refundable upon beginning of production. A link to more information about our "policies" is provided on every page.

· What shipping methods are available?
Log-furniture.com always chooses the least expensive method of shipment for our customers. Many of our oversize furniture orders are first sent out to bid for the best possible rate. Please feel free to call or email us for an exact quote on freight.

· How much does shipping cost?
Costs for delivery will vary according to the item(s) size, weight, and the final destination. Free shipping specials are often offered for our most popular lines.

· How do I check shipping rates?
To see exact shipping charges to your location for any standard size item, (see below for oversize items) simply press the "order" button and enter your address information in the spaces provided. Checking a shipping quote will NOT obligate you to a purchase. You may back out of your purchase and continue browsing at any time before entering your credit card information and finalizing your order.

Please Note: Selected oversize items requiring delivery by motor freight will require a shipping quote prior to ordering, and will have additional charges added to the order. These items will be clearly marked in the product description field. We will contact you for approval of final charges for these items before processing your order. Please feel free to email us for an exact quote on freight for any item.

· Do you ship internationally?

· Do you have a print catalog?
Due to the wide range of items offered and our desire to maintain the most competitive prices on the web, a print catalog is not available at this time. Many item pages may be printed for future reference. Most pictures may also be clicked upon to reveal a larger more detailed image. Please check back with us often as our inventory changes regularly.

· I've searched and searched your site and still can’t find that "one" item. What do I do now?

· How do I choose furniture styles and accessories?
All of our furniture is grouped by style or room. Accessories which best match these items will be found within this category. We are most happy to assist you in choosing the best matching pieces. Simply drop us an email.

· How often do you add new products to your Web site?
We are constantly adding new products as we continue to expand our offerings. Please bookmark our site and check back with us frequently to see what’s new. Also, you may add your name to our email newsletter list for future product and special sale announcements.

· How can I have my product sold on your site?
We are constantly searching for unique products to add to our offerings. If your product is unusual and you are able to drop ship this item to our customers we encourage you to email info@log-furniture.com with your interest.

· How do I care for my furniture?
Different types of wood require different care. Please see the info or links on the relevant item sections pages for help with finishing and preserving individual wood types. Log-furniture.com prefers low maintenance woods such as teak, pine, white and red cedar and many of our items require little or no treatment at all. Please keep in mind that all wood furniture will age and discolor when exposed to the elements. Even items left indoors may change color from exposure to the sun. For example, white cedar will change from a creamy color to a pretty silvery gray over the course of several years. Most of our customers choose to leave their furniture unfinished and prefer the natural aging process.

 
Privacy


· Do you share or sell personal information?
Our Privacy policy is strictly enforced and ensures that your personal information will NEVER be made available to outside sources. Occasionally we may send you notifications of special sales or introductions of new products. If you would prefer not to receive these emails, please reply to the message with the word remove in the subject line.

· How can I be removed from your mailing list?
A quick email to info@log-furniture.com with "remove" in the subject line will do it.

 

Safety


· Is shopping online at log-furniture.com safe (secure)?
Buying from us online is both easy and secure. When you place an order, your credit card information is protected by our secure server hosted by YAHOO!. All personal information is encrypted using the latest, state of the art methods for your protection.

· How do I know my credit card information is safe?
Your credit card information is transmitted securely with encryption and will be processed in a secure environment in a "real world" store and is destroyed immediately after your purchase has been processed.

The Internet is Safe. When you compare the Internet to other retail channels (such as mail order companies or even your local furniture store) in terms of credit card security, it's very safe.

It would be far easier for a thief to steal your credit card information from a carbon copy of a receipt or by tapping your telephone line than it would be for a thief to intercept a on-line transaction with log-furniture.com.

If you own a credit card, it's a good idea to monitor and verify your credit transactions on your monthly credit card statement. This way you'll have total peace of mind that only purchases you've made with your credit card (in retail stores, mail order outlets, OR on-line sites) appear on your statement.

Our commitment to you as a consumer is to ensure that doing business with log-furniture.com will always be safe and enjoyable.

You are Protected by Federal Law. The chances are very unlikely that you'll would ever have your credit card information stolen on the Internet. However, if it ever is, you're protected by the same federal law which protects all of your credit card purchases which limits your liability to a maximum of $50 in charges.

Log-furniture.com only wishes to send mail to those who request it directly. Please feel free to share our web address with your friends. They may sign up for our newsletter easily.

· How do I unsubscribe from your newsletter?

· What personal information does log-furniture.com collect when I visit your site, and what do you do with it? What is your privacy policy?
The log-furniture.com does not use "cookies". However, our host site, Yahoo! may use them to help recognize your return and assist you in various ways with your shopping experience. Log-furniture.com does not share or sell any personal information with third parties. This site is hosted by Yahoo and is subject to their privacy policies as well.

· I don't want my name, postal address or email address given or sold to anyone else. How do I inform you of my preferences?

Sales Tax


· Do I have to pay sales tax?
Sales tax is payable only if you reside in California. Effective April 1st, 2009 California sales tax will increase to 8.975%. It is your responsibility to handle any sales tax for your local State.

· Doesn't the Internet Tax Freedom Act say that I don't have to pay sales tax when shopping online?
The Internet Tax Freedom Act prevents States from imposing any new taxes on Internet transactions. States (currently only CA) in which we conduct business (in our corporate offices, fulfillment centers, etc.) in the "real" world require us to collect sales tax under their preexisting sales tax laws.

· What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards including: Visa, MasterCard, American Express. Personal checks, cashiers checks, and money orders are also accepted.

· Can I order online without a credit card?

· When is my credit card charged for my order?
As most of our items are made to order, your order is processed as soon as we receive it. To prevent delays in delivery, your credit card will be charged when your order is processed. For large orders other arrangements including scheduled payments and deposits may be set up. Please call us to discuss your needs.

 

Lay A Way, Credit, Installment Billing, etc...


· Do you offer installment billing? How does it work?
Log-furniture.com offers a convenient interest free layaway plan for $350 minimum orders. Details are below.

Log-furniture.com Layaway Program:

Layaway items will be processed and scheduled for shipment when paid in full. Normal delivery times will apply.

Please note:
  1. Each layaway order must be for a minimum of $350.00 in total payments. We ask for a 25% down payment and the balance may be split in payments over 4 months. ($50.00 or more each payment after the initial 25% down payment).

  2. Credit card payments are automatically deducted the same day each month.

  3. If you choose to make payments by check or money order, it is your responsibility to get the payments to us in a timely manner. We do not send statements or reminders. Payments should be mailed to:

  4. Due to high cost of order processing, Layaway payments are not refundable and are non-transferable to other orders.

What About Delivery?


Delivery time
You will find an estimated shipping time on each item’s order page. While we strive to meet or beat these times, such estimates are always subject to manufacturers' production and scheduling changes. Log-furniture.com is not responsible for manufacturers' delays.

Delivery costs
Delivery charges are either included in the price of orders shipped within the Continental US (all states except Alaska and Hawaii) or may be calculated (without obligation) by clicking the order button for each item and entering your delivery address. Please call us about international orders or those to be shipped anywhere outside the Continental U.S. Minimum orders may apply. We can accept orders from military personnel only with a specific address within the Continental US; unfortunately we cannot arrange delivery to APO addresses.

 

Damage


· What if my order arrives damaged?


In rare instances when packaging arrives with minor damage, you must note the damage on the freight bill and contact us immediately. If you are aware of major damage at delivery please refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. Contact us immediately to arrange for replacement. We will work swiftly to correct the problem at no charge to you.

If your furniture appears seriously damaged, do not dispose of the packing boxes or materials. In the rare instances when furniture must be returned, factories will require the original cartons. All returns or repairs must be arranged through our customer service department. We cannot pay for any unauthorized repairs, modifications to an item, or returns.




· What do I do if I was shipped the wrong item(s) or my order was damaged in transit?
If you are aware of the problem at delivery please refuse the damaged or incorrect portion of the shipment. Contact us immediately. We will work swiftly to correct the problem at no charge to you.

· Will I get a full refund for my return?
Full refunds and/or product exchanges are offered for returns due to our error, product damage, or incorrect items delivered.

· Can I return an item because I changed my mind or can’t afford it?
Returns for reasons other than defective merchandise or damage due to shipping will not be accepted without the prior consent of log-furniture.com. Customers are responsible for all charges and may be subject to restocking fees up to 30%. This policy is strictly enforced. If in doubt about any of our policies please inquire before placing your order. All orders placed imply your familiarity with and consent to our policies. · How long does it take to get my refund?
Refunds will be processed promptly - normally within 48 hours. Please allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for your refund (credit) to show on your credit card billing statement.
