Checking can range from very slight slivers to cracks running the full length of the log to the heart of the wood. Because checking is completely normal and in no way affects the integrity of the wood or the strength of the furniture, returns due to checking are not accepted without shipping charges or possible restocking fees. All our log furniture is of course warranted against defects in materials and workmanship from the manufacturer.
